Department Overview

Since Rakuten Insight was founded in 2002, our mission is delivering the value that consumers need to entrepreneurs utilizing the technology of the internet and with the cooperation of research monitors.

We will continue to provide new value to our clients with a "Rakuten Insight-like" approach to build an integrated data infrastructure that is based on awareness data and various behavior data on a person (ID) basis.

We handle many kinds of Rakuten data [Ex: demographic or psychographic data/purchasing data/location data/media exposure log, etc...]

This position devise solutions for client marketing challenges utilizing these data resources.

We do planning, making solution, and proposal for data linkage with the research analysis division or data management division.

In the process of solve the problem for the national client, we can have the experience of the latest trend for the market.

We devise the solutions based on various data assets we own to manufactures, media company, advertising agencies and other divisions under Rakuten Group. You can have the wide experiences to support PDCA on digital marketing such as analyzing membership, measurement of advertising effectiveness and advertising.

Position Details

We use Rakuten Group's big data and Rakuten Insight's awareness data to plan advertisements for "major food, beverage, and daily necessities manufacturers," "major media companies, and major advertising agencies" that are promoting DX. / We provide services such as effectiveness measurement and DMP solutions.

Main duties

1. Hearings and proposal activities regarding marketing issues for clients in charge

In-depth sales to existing departments and data product proposals

Pure sales to new departments, introduction of capabilities, etc.

*Part of the specific proposal content

Proposal for measuring the effectiveness of online advertising

Proposal for data linkage between client and Rakuten Insights

Proposal for profile analysis of owned media

2. Project management for orders, including submission, delivery, billing, and after-sales follow-up.

Overall management as the person in charge of the project in collaboration with the director and researchers

Estimates, schedules, and other general client support

Cost management of outsourcing expenses, acceptance inspection, administrative work related to billing, etc.

3. Promoting business improvement activities and creating systems that contribute to sales expansion/profit generation

Improve the efficiency of routine work and strengthen collaboration with directors and research teams

Promote activities and initiatives that contribute to improving the value of Rakuten Insight based on client needs, etc.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Skills required

Over 5 years of corporate sales experience

Have excellent communication skills

(Able to explain with logical and organized sentences and speaking style. Able to understand people's speech and the flow of discussions.)

Project management experience

(Experience of being involved in project progress management as a professional manager, regardless of the size of the project)

Have basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint beginner to intermediate level)

Desired person image

People who are creating results in corporate sales of intangible products

Able to work with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility

Able to work tirelessly to achieve goals.

Able to form own hypothesis and execute PDCA to improve sales activities

Understanding of basic marketing frameworks (3C, 4P, STP, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

Experienced in leadership, management, and human resource development

Experience in marketing research related project

Experience or engagement for marketing research

Advanced business level Japanese

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)
