THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a Senior DevOps Data Engineer at Takeda, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining reliable data pipelines that power critical, data-driven insights. Working in an Agile environment, you will focus on ensuring data integrity, efficiency, and the smooth functioning of our data ecosystem. Your contributions will help transform raw information into actionable solutions that support Takeda's mission.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

• Design, build, optimize, and manage data architectures and ETL pipelines aligned with business needs.
• Oversee data flows, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and ensure consistent delivery of data across multiple environments.
• Employ advanced SQL queries for effective database management, data extraction, and performance tuning.
• Utilize AWS services and Databricks to process and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Implement Informatica IICS and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to improve data governance and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines to support business needs.
• Oversee day-to-day data operations, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Utilize advanced SQL for database management and performance tuning.
• Integrate AWS services and Databricks for data processing and analysis.
• Implement Informatica IICS and MDM solutions for data governance.
• Collaborate with business analysts and solutions architects to design scalable data solutions.
• Uphold high standards of data accuracy and adopt DevOps practices.
• Mentor junior team members and champion best practices.
• Encourage exploration of new technologies to enhance data operations.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:

• Advanced SQL mastery with proficiency in complex queries and performance optimization.
• Experience with sophisticated data structures, ETL frameworks, and modern development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services for data storage, orchestration, and analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks for big data processing, analytics, and collaboration.
• Knowledge of Informatica IICS and MDM solutions for robust data integration and governance.
• Experience in implementing continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines.
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and optimization abilities.

Preferred to have:

• Experience in setting objectives, guiding team members, and ensuring project completion on schedule.
• Ability to propose policy updates and shape data engineering best practices within the organization.
