- Background and Purpose
Komaba Commons Lab is a newly established organization that integrates and advances shared research facilities, including the Komaba Analysis Core, a core facility for materials characterization.
Its aim is to build a next-generation shared research infrastructure equipped with automation, autonomy, digital transformation (DX), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
The lab promotes the automated operation of analytical instruments, data-driven analysis, and the development of autonomous measurement systems that integrate robotics and AI, as well as the implementation of unique quantum technologies for probing physical properties that are inaccessible by conventional measurement techniques.
As part of this initiative, we are launching a new research field entitled "Intelligent Materials Characterization", with the goal of constructing an automated and autonomous materials characterization platform based on Physical AI (robotics) and of generating new scientific knowledge through such a platform.
This is an open call for applications for an Associate Professor or Lecturer position in "Intelligent Materials Characterization."- Job contents

4.背景と目的
駒場コモンズラボ(仮称)は、共用機器管理・活用組織である駒場分析コアなど本研究所が有する共同利用組織を統合・発展させ、単なる共同利用施設を超えた、自動・自律化および DX・AI 化を備えた未来型共同利用組織の構築を目指して新設される。本ラボでは分析機器の自動運転化およびデータ駆動解析の高度化を進め、ロボティクスと AI を融合した自律型計測システムを備えた未来型共同利用組織の整備を推進するとともに、一般の計測機器/手法ではアクセスできない特殊な物性量の計測、超高感度検出、量子現象観測の独自技術を開発・実現することにより、未来型共同利用組織の整備を推進する。
本公募で募集する准教授または講師は、「物質インテリジェント計測分野」を担当し、試料認識から搬送、計測までをロボティクス技術により自動化し、得られたデータを AI で解析・フィードバックする研究基盤の構築を、担当教員らと共に協働して進める。本組織の科学的・技術的高度化に貢献する中核的教員としての役割を担う。
5.業務内容
共用機器利用設備としての組織を運営しながら、独自の自動自律・解析システムの構築に向けた研究を推進する。具体的には以下のような方向性と業務を想定する。
- ロボティクス技術と分析機器を連携させた自動・自律型計測システムの研究開発
- 機械学習を活用したデータ解析および計測フィードバック技術の高度化
- 自動・自律化を備えた未来型共同利用基盤の構築・高度化への貢献
- 上記研究の推進に加え、ラボ運営、学内外研究者との共同研究、技術支援および教育活動を展開

配置換、兼務及び出向を命じることがある(意に反して命じられることは原則ない。詳細は東京大学教員の就業に関する規程第 4 条による。)
6.応募資格
- 博士の学位を有すること(またはそれと同等の実績を有すること)
- 各種分析機器を用いた物質計測または関連分野における研究実績・経験を有し、学際的研究に積極的に取り組む意欲があること
- 研究支援・教育活動に対する理解と協調性を有すること
- ロボティクス、AI または関連分野における研究実績を有することが望ましいが必須ではない
採用決定後できるだけ早く着任。任期5年。試用期間は採用された日から 14 日間。
8.勤務形態・給与等
常勤(専門業務型裁量労働制、みなし労働時間:1日7時間 45 分/週 38 時間 45 分)。休日:土日、祝日、年末年始(12 月 29 日~1 月 3 日)。
給与:
学歴・職務経験等を考慮し決定。昇給制度あり。 参考:博士修了/38 万円~
諸手当:
賞与(年 2 回)、通勤手当(原則5万5千円まで)の他、本学の定めるところによる。
