Amazon Japan is continuously growing every year, supported by a high-quality transportation network that is not bound by traditional standards. In the Transport Planning Business Unit of Amazon Japan's Supply Chain Department, we are looking for team members to develop short-term transport plans in anticipation of industry changes and growth, and to reform the business processes.
Key job responsibilities:
- Support efficient and highly accurate transport planning and execution, as well as business process improvement, in collaboration with internal departments and partners.
Transport Plan Development and Execution:
- Assist in the development of short-term middle-mile plans using your company's application based on demand forecasting and trend analysis.
- Communicate with internal departments and partners to establish high-quality plans, manage schedules, and proactively drive initiatives.
Business Process Improvement:
- Plan and execute process improvements to address business challenges arising from changes in transportation networks and internal applications, in order to provide higher quality services.
Desired candidate profile:
- Analytical and logical thinker with the ability to utilize extensive data to execute plans.
- Adaptability in rapidly changing business environments, with the capability to construct business processes independently and flexibly without being confined to existing structures. Strong collaborative skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver who can prioritize and tackle issues even in ambiguous situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of program or project management experience.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, monitor deadlines, and identify risks in advance.
- Proficiency in using Excel for data tracking, analysis, and presentation.
- Business level proficiency in Japanese and English, both verbal and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of Amazon's Transportation and Logistics networks (First Mile, Middle Mile, Last Mile).
- Capability to establish rapport and influence various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python programming and SQL query writing.
- Experience in requirement gathering and creating clear, detailed requirement documents.
- Strong background in reading and writing SQL queries.
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse team and contributing to an inclusive culture.
