Role Overview

We are seeking a
Mid to Senior‑Level Software Engineer
with strong programming experience in
Go
or
Rust
to help design, build, and scale our renewable‑energy asset orchestration platform. You will work in a fast‑moving, multicultural startup environment, collaborating with engineers and cross‑functional teams to deliver clean, reliable, and high‑performance cloud services.

This position is
full‑remote within Japan
, conducted entirely in
English
, with the option to visit our office in
Fukuoka
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the
    design and implementation
    of our cloud architecture, ensuring high scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Write
    clean, well‑documented, well‑tested, and performant code
    in Go or Rust.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform operates
    flawlessly and reliably
    .
  • Take initiative in solving complex problems in conditions of ambiguity typical of startup environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production experience
    in
    Go
    or
    Rust
    development.
  • Fluency in English
    , both written and spoken.
  • Ability to thrive in a
    fast‑moving, multicultural startup environment
    .
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to take ownership under uncertainty.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience designing and managing
    serverless, event‑driven applications
    , preferably on
    AWS
    .
  • Hands‑on experience with
    Kubernetes
    .
  • Background in
    DevOps
    or
    platform engineering
  • Knowledge of
    AWS CDK
    and
    Infrastructure as Code
    practices.
  • Understanding of
    information security
    and secure coding principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science
    or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of the
    energy industry
    or willingness to learn.

Desired Skills and Experience
Cloud & Architecture

Experience architecting and developing serverless, event-driven applications.

Preferably using AWS services.

Containerization & Orchestration

Experience with Kubernetes.

API Technologies

Experience with GraphQL.

Infrastructure & Deployment

DevOps or platform engineering experience.

Knowledge of AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit).

Software Development Practices

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Ability to write clean, well-tested, well‑documented code.

Security

Information security (Infosec) skills.

Domain Knowledge

Basic understanding of the energy industry, or willingness to learn.
