Introduction to the job

Application engineer supports customer's process development and help performance improvement via application products/knowledge

Homebase is Hokkaido, but initial work location is Kumamoto for training purpose.

Role and responsibilities

Process development support, and implement application functions

  • Able to understand customer needs, align clear problem description with customer, trouble shooting under time pressure condition
  • Take ownership and initiative, requires prompt response
  • lead escalation and communication with ASML experts internally, and act as customer interface
  • collaborate across departments for smooth trouble shooting
  • stakeholder management for technical topics
  • problem solving mindset
  • support EUV, DUV, YS, VCP

    • Education and experience

  • Master degree or 3yrs experience in semiconductor industry

    • Skills

    Technical problem solving, drive project or workstream to achieve customer goal. Develop strong customer relationship and maintain effective communication channels

  • Make clear problem description including customer use case
  • Able to create user friendly technical document using common words (not ASML specific term)
  • Trouble shooting skill, data analysis skill, excel, power point
  • Basic project management skill
  • English requirements: TOEIC 600 +, daily conversation level
  • English presentation, communication skill to lead technical conversation internally, and externally
  • Japanese skill JLPT N2, daily conversation level
  • lead technical conversation by Japanese in customer meeting

    • Optional

  • semiconductor knowledge and experience, especially front end process

    • Other information

    This position is based in Hokkaido. Onsite support is required and need clean room work sometimes. Before fab open in Hokkaido, you need to study ASML knowledge in other sites (Kumamoto or Hiroshima).

    ・給与
    想定年収:5,080,125~6,773,500
    想定月給:368,125~490,833
    ※上記は基本級+賞与の金額。別途残業手当、シフト手当を支給(シフト勤務の場合)
    ※給与改定、賞与:有(年1回 3月)

    ・就業場所

    熊本(入社直後は広島ですが、北海道事業所が完成次第、北海道での勤務となります。)
    業務上の必要により以下に入社後就業場所の変更を行うことがあります。
    三重、広島、岩手、長崎、大分、北海道

    ・勤務時間

    所定労働時間は7時間30分(休憩1時間)とし、区分に応じて以下の3通りが選択可能です。
    8:30〜17:00、9:00〜17:30、9:30〜18:000

    ・所定時間外労働:有

    ・社会保険
    健康保険、厚生年金、労災保険、雇用保険

    ・受動喫煙防止措置の状況:屋内禁煙
