We are looking for an experienced
Senior Software Engineer / IT Project Manager
with strong hands-on development skills and/or project management expertise. The ideal candidate will work closely with global teams, manage end-to-end software delivery, and contribute to scalable, high-quality systems.
Key Responsibilities Senior Software Engineer
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using
Java, JavaScript, , and - Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop cloud-based solutions using
AWS - Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
IT Project Manager (PMP)
- Lead end-to-end IT projects from planning to delivery
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risks
- Coordinate with onshore/offshore development teams
- Communicate effectively with Japanese and global stakeholders
- Ensure Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies are followed
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations
- Ensure compliance with company and client standards
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
- Strong experience in
Java - Frontend development with
- Backend development using
- Proficiency in
JavaScript (ES6+) - Hands-on experience with
AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) - Knowledge of
DevOps tools
(Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD) - Experience with databases (SQL / NoSQL)
- Understanding of system design, security, and performance optimization
Project Management Skills (for PM role)
- PMP certification
(mandatory for IT PM role) - Experience managing enterprise-level IT projects
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC
Language & Communication
- Japanese proficiency: JLPT N2 or above (mandatory)
- Business-level English communication
- Ability to work in a Japanese corporate environment
Experience
- Senior Software Engineer:
6+ years of software development experience - IT Project Manager:
6+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in project management
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Japan-based projects
- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance
- Exposure to multi-cultural or offshore development teams
- Scrum Master / Agile certifications
