A Stable Global Pharma company is seeking a dynamic Data Management Lead to spearhead the data strategy in Japan. Based in the Tokyo office, you will be the vital link between our global data platforms and local business units, ensuring data excellence drives our commercial success. This position reports to the Head of Insights & Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the local data management strategy, establishing governance, data standards, and best practices across commercial teams.
Serve as the local expert for global data tools and platforms, providing guidance and training to Brand, Sales, and Marketing teams to maximize their use.
Oversee the management of local master and reference data, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance across all business systems.
Collaborate closely with global data teams to ensure local business needs are represented in global solutions and to manage the integration of new platforms.
Drive operational efficiency and act as a change champion, promoting the adoption of data-driven processes and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience in the Pharma industry, with at least 3 years in data operations, management, or Business Intelligence
Deep understanding of the Japanese pharmaceutical business landscape and data sources.
Strong proficiency with SQL and data analysis tools (Python/R); experience with Snowflake, data modeling, and BI platforms is highly preferred.
Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality best practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in a global, matrixed organization.
