【仕事内容】
A global, US-headquartered investment management firm is seeking a Compliance Officer to lead compliance activities in Japan. This is a hands-on role with high visibility, involving close collaboration with Japan senior management as well as regional and global compliance teams.
Key highlights
- Lead and oversee all compliance operations in Japan for an established asset management platform
- Serve as a key compliance partner to the Board of Directors and the Management Committee
- Work closely with APAC, US, and global compliance teams to ensure alignment with global standards
- Provide compliance oversight and advisory support across investment, research, and portfolio management activities
- Operate in an international, English-speaking business environment
Role overview
- Own and manage the Japan compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training
- Maintain regular liaison with regulators and relevant industry bodies
- Provide regulatory and compliance advice to investment and research teams
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
- Support and coordinate regulatory filings, inspections, and internal reviews
- Act as the local point of contact for information barriers and the handling of sensitive information
【応募資格】
- Fluency in Japanese and English, with business-level proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- 7–10 years of experience in asset management or securities-related compliance
- Strong knowledge of Japanese regulatory requirements, including FSA and FIEA regulations
- Experience working within a global or regional operating model preferred
- Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with senior stakeholders
