WPP CONTENT STUDIO JAPAN, Project Manager/ Producer

Purpose
Own day-to-day delivery of social and digital content projects. Bring structure, clarity, and pace. Keep timelines, budgets, teams, and production partners moving in sync.
What you will do
- Lead project scoping, planning, budgets, and timelines.
- Run end-to-end delivery for social campaigns, always-on content, and smaller shoots.
- Coordinate account, creative, strategy, production, and media teams so work stays aligned.
- Track progress, flag risks early, and drive solutions.
- Shape production approaches and partner selection for shoots of all sizes.
- Ensure all financial workflows run cleanly across estimates, POs, job numbers, WPP systems, and vendor billing.
- Source and manage external partners when needed.
- Maintain project hygiene across Smartsheet or similar tools.
- Provide clear status updates to internal leads.
- Close every project with learnings and next steps.
- Work from our office when collaboration requires it. We are flexible with hybrid routines, but this is not a remote-only role.
What you bring
- Experience managing digital and social content projects in a studio or agency.
- Strong organisational habits and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in fast cycles with shifting needs.
- Clear communication across creative, strategy, production, and client teams.
- Hands-on attitude with a bias for action.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Bilingual in Japanese and English. Both languages are needed for day-to-day delivery.
