[Job description]As the Frontend Tech Lead, you will spearhead the development of our AI-driven inspection cloud platforms, LiLz Gauge and LiLz Guard.
[Responsibilities]Application Development
Develop and scale remote inspection cloud services powered by low-power IoT cameras and AI.
LiLz Gauge:
Streamlines visual inspections of analog meters using image processing and machine learning.
LiLz Guard:
Quantifies and detects site anomalies from images to automate routine visual monitoring.
Architecture Design
Lead the design and modernization of our (TypeScript) SPA infrastructure (state management, routing, modularization, performance, and accessibility strategy).
Collaborate on API design (Swagger) and backend integration (Python/Flask + Rust/Axum) to ensure schema consistency and define future-proof native integration guidelines.
Implementation & Code QualityMaintain a high pace of hands-on coding while establishing PR review standards and coding conventions.
Cultivate a culture of type-safety (TypeScript) and rigorous testing (Unit/Jest, E2E/Playwright).
UX Design & Prototyping
Drive the process from requirement definition to UI prototyping and user flow validation, even in the absence of dedicated PMs/Designers.
Maintain and evolve the Design System and component libraries (Storybook, etc.).Technical Leadership & Mentorship
Break down complex tasks, provide estimates, and mentor team members through pair/mob programming.
Optimize sprint operations (Definition of Ready/Done, review SLAs, and quality gates).

[Requirements]
Language Proficiency:
Conversational Japanese (capable of internal team communication).
SPA Development: 5+ years of experience in SPA development or React) with professional proficiency in TypeScript.
Technical Leadership:
Experience leading frontend technology selection, architectural design, and large-scale refactoring.
Team Leadership:
Experience in hands-on development within small teams, including leading code review processes and standards.
Quality Assurance:
Practical experience in test design (Unit and/or E2E) and maintaining quality via CI/CD pipelines.
API Collaboration:
Experience implementing frontend logic using REST APIs and the ability to provide constructive feedback on API design/schemas.

Modern Tooling:
Deep knowledge of Vue 3, Vite, Jest, and Vue Router, or experience leading migrations to these technologies.
Programming
Languages:
Experience with Rust or functional programming languages.
Design Systems:
Experience designing and maintaining UI component libraries or design systems (e.g., Storybook).
Optimization:
Ongoing experience in Web Performance Optimization and Accessibility (a11y) improvements.
Backend/Schema Integration:
Experience collaborating with Python/Flask backends or practicing Schema-Driven Development.
Infrastructure/DevOps:
Experience with frontend deployment and monitoring on Azure (CDN, error tracking, Grafana, etc.).
Mobile Development:
Experience with native apps (Kotlin/Swift) or a strong willingness to learn.
