Job Description
Business Overview
We are looking for a talented UX Designers to join us at Rakuten Payment Service.

With the concept of "Bringing the experience of e-commerce to the real world", you will be responsible for designing user experiences for Rakuten Payment Service, creating more user-friendly services for our customers.

Department Overview
Based on user research (both quantitative and qualitative), you will create prototypes, test whether the developed apps and web designs truly function as intended, and work on improving the UX on a daily basis. We are also considering the introduction of an Agile Process, enabling quick improvements in short cycles of 2-3 weeks. You will be responsible for projects that involve collaborating closely with Product and Marketing teams to implement these rapid improvements.

Additionally, the team you will be joining consists of many multinational members, making it a fun workplace where you can communicate in English, especially with engineers, and work with a global perspective.

Develop New User Experience for Leading the Market.

  • Consistency design based on UCD process.
  • Designing by Logical thinking and the data driven well.
  • UX research, analyzing, make prototypes.

  • Keeping design quality by hands on the end users.
  • Do the quick and low-cost design process.
  • Culturize UX thinking into organization.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience in UX (App): Junior~
  • +7 years of experience in UX (App): Lead ~ Principal
  • Must have the portfolio
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD or similar.
  • Proven strong knowledge and skills of UX design principles, methods, process, usability, and accessibility standards with logical thinking and user first mind.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with working experience in Japanese company.
  • Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and advocate for the user.
  • Research and analysis with Quant and Qual.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and foster the growth of team members in design methodologies as lead designer.
  • Business level Japanese skill.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Swift UI, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Business English skills.
  • Preferably in the fintech or payment industry.
