Amazon JapanのSupply Chain Management (SCM)部門は、AmazonのEnd-to-EndのFulfillment Networkの中核となるFC (Fulfillment Center:倉庫)のNetwork戦略を担当するProgram Managerを募集しています。
お客様により早い配送スピードをご提供しつつ、Operation Costの適性化を通じてより幅広い商品Selectionをご提供することが組織のMissionです。そのために、お客様により近い場所に必要な在庫を配置し、流通過程でのTouch pointと輸送距離の最小化を実現するNetworkをいかに構築するかが重要なテーマです。その中でこのRoleは、Amazon Networkの中核であるFCの配置(Topology)に責任を持ち、長期的なVisionの立案と毎年の成長規模を見定めた毎ピークシーズンでのFC Capacity拡大の投資計画の立案に責任を持ちます。そして、入荷、配送スピード、在庫配置、FCオペレーション、幹線輸送、ラストマイル配送といった社内の多様なStakeholderと連携をとることが求められます。またVision達成に向けた新たなNetwork戦略の実現に向けた様々な戦略的InitiativeのProject推進も担います。
FCのCapacityとその配置はNetwork全体のPerformanceに大きな影響を与えるだけではなく、その投資規模から全体のCostへの影響が大きいこともあり、非常に重要な役割を果たすことが期待されます。そのため、活躍していただける方の要件としては以下を想定しています。

Key job responsibilities
AmazonのFC networkは、取り扱う商品サイズ等で複数に分かれており、このRoleはそのFC Networkのいくつかを担当します。1-4年先という中長期の視点で、まず将来の出荷量と在庫量の需要予測と需要の不確実性に対応できる倉庫のCapacityを確保することに責任を持ちます。同時に、お客様への配送スピード向上とSCMトータルのコストの低減を両立するためのFC Network Design(どこに、どの規模で、どのタイミングで、どのような機能の在庫拠点を配置するか)に責任を持ちます。部下は持たずIndividual Contributorとして活動します。
具体的には、以下の大きく3つの業務を推進します。
- FC Network Strategyの立案
・お客様への配送スピードとCost最適化のために、Networkの考え方を常にUpdateし続ける必要があります。Fulfillment Networkそれぞれにおける変化やNW visionの新しい方向性を踏まえて、最適なFC Networkの在り方をFinancialなどの具体的な数字に基づいて提案します。
2.中長期でのFC Capacity Planning
・将来の需要予測に基づき、FCの準備に必要な期間とその間の需要の不確実性(上振れ、下振れ)を考慮し、FC Capacityの増設とその投資計画を策定します。
・FC新設の意思決定を行うタイミングで、その投資の財務インパクトを財務部門とともに計算し、経営層に投資提案を行います。
3.プロジェクト推進
・新しい戦略を具体的なものにするためのInitiative、例えば既存FCの統廃合や位置づけの変更、全く新しい機能の倉庫の設置といったProjectを推進します。
A day in the life
このRoleは、SCM部門のCapacity Planningチームの一員として活動します。SCM Capacity Planningは、需要を計画するDemand Managementと、その需要に基づいてFC Network Designを行うTopologyチームに分かれていますが、このRoleはTopology ManagerにReportします。
主な仕事とそのサイクルは以下の通りです。
・FC Capacity Planの更新:1年に最低4回は需要予測の更新に基づいて、FC Capacity Planと投資計画を更新します。それぞれAmazon Operation部門のLeardershipの承認を得ます。
・FCの準備期間を考慮し、Prime DayやBlack Friday Weekといったピークに向けて必要なタイミングで実際にFC拡張、増設の投資を実行するかどうかの意思決定を行います。これは投資規模によりGlobal Leadershipの承認を必要とします。
・その他、常に新しいNetworkの考え方を反映したり、Cost改善のためのFC Network見直しというInitiativeが常時動かしているため、上記サイクルとは別にInitiativeの対応を行い、必要に応じてLeadershipのAlighment、承認を得ます。
日常で関係する部門は多岐にわたり、各部門と調整の核としての役割が期待されます。主な関係先は以下の通り

About The Team
本ポジションはAmazon JapanのSCM部門の中でCapacity Planningチームの一員として活動します。当チームは中長期での視点で入荷・在庫・出荷の需要予測を行い、お客様に豊富な品揃え、十分な在庫量そして素早い配送スピードで商品をお届けできるように、適切なタイミングで、適切な場所に、適切な規模で倉庫を準備するすることが主な役割です。この業務を通じて、お客様の購買体験の向上と倉庫投資における投資対効果を最大化する重要な役割を担っています。当チームは、日本のオペレーション部門の中でも最も遠い将来を見て仕事をしているのが特徴です。

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
