Job summary
Amazon Japan is seeking an IT Engineer in IT Supply Chain organization. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to move into a specific technical career.
You will have the opportunity to expand your technical abilities and be trained to take responsibility for certain equipment within the Fulfillment Center environment.
Responsibilities include:
purchasing of IT devices/services, budget management, vendor management/engagement, allocation and maintenance of IT equipment, including check in/check out, asset management, inventory control, device break/fix, control of RMA process, and device deployment (such as PC/scanner/server/switches/routers/FWs)
The candidate will be expected to take following roles:
- leading other peer members
- guiding/introducing Amazon global/local standards to other Ops Tech IT members
- troubleshooting, escalating the issues in proper/efficient way/methods, and deliver results
- simplifying and innovating operation processes continuously
- decision-making, planning activities, preparing data-driven documents, negotiating with stakeholders
We are looking for a well-organized person who will proactively look for ways to contribute to Amazon, not only in Japan, but worldwide.

- Troubleshooting (RMA)(10%)
- Asset management & inventory control(10%)

Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
- Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
