Oxford Instruments Andor Sales Engineer Tokyo or Osaka
We enable the world's leading industrial companies and scientific research communities to image, analyze and manipulate materials down to the atomic and molecular level. Our Plasma Technology provides tools for the engineering of micro- and nano-structures, with customers using our process solutions to research and produce materials and semiconductors vital for everything from medical devices and diagnostics, to electric cars and quantum computers.
- Responsibilities:
- Account management and sales for Andor products (physics-related products) to new OEM customers and universities/government institutions
- Agent management for Andor products (physics-related products)
- Maintenance and development of existing OEM relationships for X-Ray Technology products (main reportee is the CEO)
- Input of latest sales information into CRM system or sales agreement management table (weekly management)
OEM business mainly involves introducing domestic device manufacturers. University/government institutions are the main customers for physics-related products, but sales are mostly through agents.
The entire Japan will be the coverage area, and you will visit customer sites three or more times per week, including overnight stays.
We will collaborate with domestic sales staff and engineers to advance sales negotiations, and when necessary, we will hold meetings with the UK headquarters engineering team.
X-Ray Technology products will be handled together with the Japan CEO at this time, as we currently do not have a Japan office.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year university (science-related field)
- Required knowledge, experience, skills, and qualifications:
- (1) Multiple years of sales experience for analytical equipment/chemistry-related products (required)
- (2) Experience in new customer acquisition and strong desire to execute
- (3) Ability to travel overnight (half of the month involves domestic travel)
- (4) English skills (manual reading, report writing, UK headquarters email exchange, some customer correspondence)
- (5) Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Team player. Customer-focused with self-initiative.
- (6) Ordinary automobile driving license
- (7) Basic business document creation ability. Presentation skills
Working conditions:
- (1) Working hours: 9:00-17:30 (no core time, full-time flex system)
- (2) Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, New Year, summer vacation
- (3) Salary system: monthly wage system Monthly basic salary: ¥4,000,000 ~ ¥5,500,000 (dependent on experience and ability)
- (4) Commission: paid according to company/individual performance (20% of basic annual salary for OnTarget)
- (5) Annual salary increase: annually (in July)
- (6) Commission: paid twice a year (in May and November)
