Job Description: Structural Engineer
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems to ensure compliance with safety and functional requirements.
- Conduct detailed quality assurance checks and evaluations of structures.
- Plan and execute topographical surveys to inform design decisions.
- Oversee soil investigation planning to assess ground conditions for construction.
- Navigating the process of obtaining necessary permits and licenses for construction projects.
- Design site roads to ensure accessibility and compliance with engineering standards.
- Develop drainage systems that effectively manage water runoff in various environments.
- Contribute to land development designs, considering environmental and regulatory factors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize project outcomes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, conveying technical information clearly.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional engineering license or equivalent certification in Japan is preferred.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in structural design and civil engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and managing complex engineering projects.
- Familiarity with Japanese building codes and construction regulations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
