Tokyo Amazon Japan G.K. Full time

As highlighted in the recent letter to Amazon Stakeholders by our CEO Jeff Bezos, the Amazon Marketplace has been the driving force behind Amazon's growth over the past years.

We are in search of a curious and innovative leader to spearhead all Amazon Promotions Programs for Marketplace in JP.

The Senior Manager will be in charge of the product vision, development planning, and management of the product roadmap for programs that impact our Seller Business, collaborating closely with Amazon Promotions tech teams in Japan and the global Deals, Coupons, and Promotions teams in the US.

This role is strategically vital and will require the leader to bring innovation, promote tool adoption, and contribute significantly to the business's growth.

The ideal candidate should operate autonomously, excel in ambiguity, and establish trust and influence across various senior levels.

They must possess extensive product management experience, insights into Japanese customer and Seller needs, a strategic mindset, and strong business acumen.

Moreover, the candidate should collaborate with tech teams to shape technology roadmaps and engage in Agile development.

Effective communication skills are essential to engage with key stakeholders, including category leaders, multiple product and tech teams, marketing, legal, and account management teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define product direction, build strategies, and product roadmap for Seller Growth initiative. Establish KPIs to gauge program success.
  • Lead innovation in Deals, Coupons, and Promotions for the benefit of customers and sellers. Enhance each program to enable sellers to provide competitive pricing, promote their offerings, and boost customer engagement.
  • Influence global technology roadmaps by collaborating with product teams and other tech stakeholders in Japan and the US.
  • Recruit and develop a team of product and program managers to execute the roadmap flawlessly.
  • Collaborate with category and product teams to identify seller business requirements and align them with corporate priorities and product strategies.
  • Promote best practices of the Seller Growth initiative with international counterparts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience in team management
  • Proficient in utilizing data and metrics for enhancements
  • Skilled in Excel or Tableau (data handling, macros, charts, and pivot tables)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams towards a common goal
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in various media channels like TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video, and paid social
  • Experience leading teams across different locations
