You'll apply your economic and market strategy knowledge to shape your team's research while, working in a dynamic and international environment and interacting directly with our investment professionals. More specifically, you will:
• Analyze and forecast market moving Asia economic data with a focus on Japan
• Build forecasts for economic aggregates, like GDP and inflation
• Benchmark sell-side forecasts
• Over time, brief portfolio managers on economic themes and forecasts
• Attend industry events and build relationships with sell-side analysts and research associates
• Develop your skills through coaching from our senior economists and by using the full breadth of the Professional Development resources available to you
• Conduct yourself with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in accordance with our compliance program
What's required
You're passionate about economics, keen to learn about financial markets and never satisfied with the obvious answer. We want you to bring that passion and restless intellect to our research. While each Analyst role is unique to the specific team, all require the following:
• A bachelor's degree or higher in economics, finance, or econometrics
• An analytical mindset and strong technical skills
• 3+ years of experience in an economic research role on the sell-side, in a central bank, or a similar economic research institution is required
• Intellectual maturity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
