Bjak is focused on providing access to affordable and sustainable financial services for people in ASEAN. Headquartered in Malaysia, Bjak is the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia. Our main portal, , helps millions find the insurance policy with the best value and highest coverage for them. Our investments in technology such as Custom API, trading systems and data science is to enable easy access to financial services that were previously inaccessible or difficult to understand.

As an Investment Analyst specializing in the Japanese market, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analysis, and evaluation of investment opportunities. This role requires a keen understanding of the Japanese financial landscape, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide valuable insights to support investment decision-making.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the Japanese financial market, industries, and economic trends.
- Analyze data to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, assessing financial statements, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary information for investment evaluations.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the potential returns and risks associated with investment opportunities.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to support decision-making.
- Provide clear and concise investment recommendations based on research findings and analysis.
- Present recommendations to investment committees and stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance of existing investments, analyzing financial results and market conditions.
- Provide regular reports on portfolio performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Assess and quantify investment risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including portfolio management, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment with investment strategies.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry developments.
- Prepare and present reports on investment performance, market trends, and risk assessments.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Investment Analyst, preferably with a focus on the Japanese market.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Knowledge of Japanese financial regulations and market dynamics.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in analysis.
