Our Mission
 The Corporate Planning Department of Ad & Media Company is responsible for formulating, implementing, and managing progress in management strategies as a "compass" for the business. We build optimal business portfolios through analysis of markets and competition, deep insights into markets and our own environment, and hypotheses, and support management to ensure that each division performs better. Contributing to the growth of the company as a whole is our mission.   We aim to maximize revenue from digital advertising and insight businesses that make up the Ad & Media Company, and we are promoting not only individual optimization for each business, but also overall optimization strategies for the company. He is responsible for steering business growth with the executives in charge through KPI design and data analysis. That is the best part of our management plan.   It is a position that is close to the management class and can be deeply involved in business decisions through daily operations.

Position Details

Main business
To realize our business strategy, we will promote business growth through a wide range of operations.   

- Support for the formulation of business plans: 
Design the future of business through budgeting and business portfolio analysis. * The budget is formulated by a sister organization, the Management and Accounting Team, and a team. 
- Business Analysis and Recommendations: 
We analyze various business data and market trends, and prepare and make recommendations to management.  
- Support for Strategic Promotion: 
Supports the execution of strategies through the organization of business strategies, collaboration with each division, and progress management.  
- Operation of the meeting: 
We support smooth communication by preparing important materials such as regular reports to management and MTGs, and by managing the meeting.  
- Global Collaboration: 
We conduct research and analysis on overseas markets for the purpose of examining business development in overseas markets and analyzing the latest global trends.  
- Business efficiency utilizing AI: 
We will pursue efficient and high-precision output by incorporating AI-nation, which is strongly promoted throughout the Rakuten Group, into our business.
 

Work Environment
The Corporate Planning Team is an organization of three people, including managers, and works closely with its sister organization, the Management and Accounting Team (7 people, including managers), as a "one team" of 10 people in total. 
 Most of you joined Rakuten as a mid-career employee after various experiences. (One member in the third year of graduation)

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in business planning or similar planning departments, or project management experience for large projects across multiple departments. 
- Be good at managing/executing multitasking based on priorities 
- Have experience of using logical and structural explanatory skills in business 
- Has extensive experience in creating materials in PowerPoint (a level that allows discussions to be made at a reasonable level and at a speed) 
- Intermediate Excel Skill (a level that can output with reasonable accuracy using intermediate level functions) 
- Basic understanding of P/L
- Japanese: Mother tongue level

Desired Qualifications:

 - Experience in the advertising industry and marketing 
- Experience in consulting 
- Experience in presentation and reporting to management decision makers 
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance 
- Experience in preparing documents in English
