1. 20% チーム メンバーと協力しながらオペレーション キャパシティーを高める活動を継続的に行い、また他のエンジニアリング チームや協力会社と協力しながらプロジェクトを遂行する。
2. 20% 複雑な物と情報の流れを理解し、人と機械を組み合わせ、在庫保管設備に合わせた自動搬送設備の創案、設計、開発、導入をする。
3. 20% プロジェクト発生する想定外の問題に対して、技術的な知識をベースとした解決案を提案し、トライ&エラーを繰り返しながら解決するまで決して諦めない姿勢を以って、周囲を巻き込んだリーダーシップを発揮する。
4. 20% 設備のレイアウト/仕様まとめ/物流知識/プロセス デザイン/労働生産性を考慮して、イノベーションの創出を伴った最適な入出荷方法の設計を行うことをリードする。
5. 10% 内部のチームおよび外部のベンダーとコミュニケーションおよびネゴシエーションを行い、短期間で高品質かつ低コストなプロセスを考案し、自動化・省力化といった技術導入を実現する。
6. 10% グローバル エンジニアリング チームとのコミュニケーションを行い、グローバルで開発される最新技術を継続的に把握し、それらの新技術を日本へ導入し、継続的に日本のフルフィルメント キャパシティーを向上する。

Key job responsibilities
エンジニアリング部門の基本的な行動指針について下記に示します。
・日本のオペレーションが計画する中期および年次計画の入出荷キャパシティーを実現する高効率なMHEを設計開発して導入すること。
・グローバル エンジニアリング チームと連携し、最先端のプロセスを日本に導入して、次世代の入出荷能力を高めること。
・国内外の協力会社と連携するだけでなく、継続的にそれら協力会社の能力を高めて、入出荷設備の低コスト化、調達能力の拡大、変動対応力の向上を行うこと。
・革新的なアイデアで既存設備の入出荷能力を高めるソリューションを提案し、プロセス デザイン/ファーム デザイン/コンストラクション マネジメントといった実行フェーズでのエンジニアリングを行い実現すること。
・国内における複数のプロジェクト(キャパシティー エキスパンション/リノベーション)を通して、既存のコミュニケーション チャネルの更なる改善を行い、他部署も含んだステークホルダーを巻き込んでリーダーシップを発揮すること。
・安全基準とエンジニアリング指針に則り標準作業作り、デザイン レビュー/変更管理を通して、必要に応じては是正処置を実施しながら、安全な職場を実現すること。
A day in the life
Retrofit Engineeringのに所属するEngineerは既存のフルフィルメントセンター、ソートセンターの改修工事における安全管理・施工管理・設計監理を主としてプロジェクトに参画します。現場のプロセスを正しく理解し、工事が安全に計画通りに進むための管理業務を行います。ほとんどの場合が中長期的なプロジェクトになりますので、工事による搬送ラインの停止状況や、通常行われているオペレーションとの調整、工事が進むにつれて部分的に開放していく新しいエリアの安全レビューなど、全体スケジュールを把握しつつ必要なアクションを計画的に行います。必要に応じて設計変更も発生するのでAuto CADを使って細部の設計をVendorと協働しながら進めます。プロジェクトの構想を練っているときはオフィスにて勤務していますが、工事が開始する1~2か月前には現場に足を運んで現地確認やベンダーさんとの協議を行いながら業務を行っています。工事が開始すると毎日現場み出勤し、課題が発生した際にはチームメンバーや上司と相談して解決しながら工事を進めます。また、無事故・怪我無く安全に工事が完了するようチームメンバーで神社へ安全祈願の参拝をしたり、工事の合間ではDEI活動の一環としてハイキングやHave Funイベントも活動しチームでの交流やサポート関係を構築しています。
About the team
アマゾンジャパンはフルフィルメントセンターの大型改修工事を毎年2~3件ほど実施しています。今後はソートセンターの改修工事も予定しており、既存プロセスとレイアウトの大規模な変更を行い、設計と施工管理を担当するチームです。コンセプト設計を開始してから工事を開始するまでは、半年から長くても1年程度と短期間で、工事は10か月から長くて2年と中長期となり、大型プロジェクトを管理しています。工事は早朝から行いますので、工事期間中はフルフィルメントセンターの近くのホテルに滞在し、日々現場に出社します。1つのプロジェクトに対して3~4名のエンジニアが担当していますが、課題解決のためお互いに情報共有、相談、サポートをしながら業務を進めています。フレックスタイムや育児休暇あけのコアタイム勤務など導入しており、事前に業務調整を行いながら家庭の事情に合わせたシフト勤務を組んでいるパターンもあり臨機応変に対応しています。また、CADの勉強会やオペレーション実務トレーニングや安全体感道場受講などトレーニング期間を充実させ、チームメンバーでハイキングやウォーキングなど健康促進などイベントも開催しています。

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 物流(MHE/Storage/Automation)あるいは製造設備の設計や導入を行った経験2. CADを使ったレイアウト設計の経験および、強度/構造計算に基づいた機械設計スキル(施設/製造所などの設備配置設計、機械図面の作図など)
3. 日本語と英語の両言語における、口頭と書面でのコミュニケーション能力(英会話レベル/英文の提案書の作成)
