Position: Events and Extra-Curricular Activities Coordinator
Location: Tokyo, Japan
School: Laurus International School of Science
Reports to: Principal
Liases with: Vice Principal and the School Board

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Extra-Curricular Activities Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all major events during the academic year, including Sports Day, Entrepreneur Fair, STEAM Fair, and more. Additionally, you will coordinate our seasonal school camps, such as Winter School, Summer School, and other exciting programs. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a passion for enriching students' school experiences beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of all major school events.
Organize and manage seasonal school camps, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational experience for all participants.
Work closely with faculty, staff, and external vendors to ensure smooth event operations.
Develop and maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and logistical plans.
Collaborate with teachers and administrative staff to align extra-curricular activities with the school's educational goals and calendar.
Monitor and evaluate the success of events and camps, implementing improvements where necessary.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation in extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Event Management, or a related field.
Candidates with qualifications in STEM related fields preferred.
Previous experience working in an international school setting is highly desirable.
Background as a teacher or former teacher is preferred.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work.
