The Amazon Customer Experience System (ACES) team in JP Amazon Logistics (AMXL) is seeking a strategic Program Manager to lead end-to-end process design and optimization across our rapidly expanding Heavy & Bulky logistics network.
This is a unique early-stage opportunity to build processes from zero, spanning SCM, First Mile, and Middle Mile operations, rather than simply improving existing frameworks.
You'll establish PMO governance, design management mechanisms, and create standardization frameworks that will become the foundation of AMXL Japan's operational excellence.
This role drives organizational execution excellence for large-scale programs with direct impact on business strategy and customer experience through project prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and standardization.

This position is responsible for strategic process design and execution across the rapidly expanding AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) business:
End-to-End Process Design & Standardization (Build from Zero)
Deeply understand on-site operations across SCM, First Mile, and Middle Mile, extracting best practices through data-driven analysis
Design integrated processes and establish standard work that spans the entire logistics network
Build PMO governance frameworks, KPI systems, and reporting mechanisms from scratch
Foster a sustainable process improvement culture leveraging Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies
Strategic Program Leadership (Think Big)
Lead large-scale programs and initiatives with stakeholders at all levels across departments and regions
Collaborate with delivery station operations, account management, technology, retail, and customer service teams
Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and develop long-term roadmaps
Design and execute training programs for organizational capability building
Data-Driven Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement (Dive Deep)
Systematically analyze current process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements
Set quantitative improvement targets (cost reduction, efficiency gains, quality improvement) and execute
Drive operational efficiency through digital tools and automation
Build real-time dashboards and KPI tracking systems

AMXL JP is a single-threaded organization that owns Amazon's end-to-end Heavy & Bulky (H&B) logistics network. As an early-stage team, we're building the foundation of operational excellence from the ground up.
Unlike mature organizations with established processes, we offer the unique opportunity to design, implement, and scale processes across SCM, First Mile, and Middle Mile operations.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, supply chain or engineering
5+ years of process development experience
Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs
Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in advanced data analysis using Excel, Python, or SQL
Experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success
Experience in people management and stakeholder management
Experience building PMO frameworks, governance mechanisms, or standardization programs
