The core mission of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) Core Operations is to build and manage a robust, standardized, and flexible telecommunications infrastructure.

Job DutiesAs an IMS Core Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME), this role encompasses Incident Management, Configuration Management, and Performance Management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results are essential.
Key duties include:
Node Operations & Support:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of PCF (Policy Control Function) and CHF (Charging Function) nodes.
Protocol Expertise:
Possess a solid understanding of Rx, Gx, Gy, Sd interfaces and Diameter Protocol.
Troubleshooting & Resolution:
Troubleshoot PCF and CHF incidents to identify root causes and ensure swift and effective resolution.
Cloud-Native & Automation:
Leverage Kubernetes for networking and container orchestration, ensuring smooth integration and automation with network infrastructure.
Demonstrate an understanding of cloud basics, including cloud networking, and the ability to automate network-related tasks in a cloud environment.
Performance Optimization:
Perform regular technical analysis to ensure the optimization, readiness, and quality of PCF and CHF nodes.
Identify performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and potential service impacts, then implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency, call success rates, and user experience.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and implement corrective actions.
Reporting & Communication:
Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, documentation, and communication to stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Service Lifecycle Support:
Provide operational support for new service launches, network expansions, and technology trials. Plan, schedule, and execute complex network changes, upgrades, and configurations on IMS elements with minimal service disruption.
Cross-functional
Collaboration:
Collaborate with planning, engineering, and project teams on network design, deployment, and integration activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in Core components.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid knowledge of Telecom, Virtualized Core network (VNF & CNF), Networking principles, protocols, and technologies.
Tooling & Analysis:
Experience with deployment, monitoring tools, advanced troubleshooting techniques, and performance analysis. Automation mindset is essential.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Work Ethic:
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Customer Focus:
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Language Skills:
Fluent in English; Japanese is optional.
