About Organization
The Mission of Core Network Department is for the planning, engineering, design and delivery of the central intelligence of Rakuten Mobile network.
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Cloud Solution Architect to join our dynamic team, focusing specifically on Core Network Applications.
In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of our next-generation core network services, ensuring they are cloud-native, highly available, scalable, and secure.
You will work closely with engineering teams, Infra Cloud teams, and other architects to translate technical requirements into robust, cloud-based technical solutions that drive Rakuten Mobile's strategic objectives.
This role requires a deep understanding of advanced networking concepts, Container Ingress Services( CIS), Kubernetes networking, Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNF), and a strong ability to provide technical leadership and solution design for 5GC, IMS, DPI, 3GPP Core network CNF(s) etc.
Our business involves managing and optimizing the core network functions and services.
The Cloud solution Architect will be key stakeholders for designing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of our next-generation core network services, ensuring they are cloud-native, highly available, scalable, and secure.
His responsibilities will include Architect and implement Container Ingress Services (CIS) for seamless integration with Kubernetes clusters. Design and deploy solutions to support Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNF) within Kubernetes.Integrate various Core network elements with various Rakuten cloud platforms ( ).Provide expert-level guidance during critical incident resolution and root cause analysis for Cloud/Robin networking /ingress/ Egress related issues for core network application.
Act as a subject matter expert for Cloud, Kubernetes and networkingMinimum Qualifications
5-10 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Cloud-Native Network Functions.
In-depth understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts, CNI, Services, Ingress, Egress and Network Policies.
Proven experience with Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNF) deployment and management.
Solid understanding of IP networking principles, routing, switching, and security.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and orchestration.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Knowledge of the Telco Core Network and 3GPP Core CNF(s) . IMS, Packet core, RCS, DPI tec
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of telco 4G/5G Core Network Functions and Services is preferred. Experience with Packet Core Nodes, IMS nodes, DPI/DDOs, 5G , CGNAT, CIoT Core
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Knowledge of the Core Network networking , traffic , 3GPP and services
F5 Big-IP, CIS LB expertise.
