Job Description
Rakuten's IP Contents Business Department seeks a skilled professional to manage IP licenses, contract negotiations, and sales for domestic and overseas markets.
You will be responsible for:
- Negotiating contracts with IP holders, joint ventures, and production committee personnel
- Negotiating contracts with overseas parties such as rights holders, sales partners, business partners, and group companies
- Creating, confirming, and concluding contracts in cooperation with the legal department and legal advisors
- Supporting media franchise development in collaboration with other divisions and companies
- Providing accounting and tax support as necessary, such as overseas withholding tax and income and expenditure reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1 year or more of contract-related work experience
- Business level of English
- Native level of Japanese
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience in negotiating contracts with IP holders, publishers, distribution/TV stations, video companies, joint ventures, and production committees
- Work experience related to contracts in content business, merchandising business, or IP license business
- Knowledge and interest in IP-related products and services across various genres
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
