Report Line: Finance Director
Team: 4 staff finance (Finance Director, Finance Manager, 2 Accountants)
ERP: SAP
Salary: 10-12M JPY with flexibility

About the Company / Role:
Globally well-known luxury retail company with strong brand and stable business in Japan looking for Finance Manager to lead accounting function and team.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Ensure balance sheet integrity, perform variance analysis, and execute monthly close in line with local/management policies.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate with internal/external auditors and regularly assess key operational processes (O2C, P2P, inventory, fixed assets).
- Tax & Treasury: Support annual tax return compliance and manage daily banking operations with monthly cash flow reporting to HQ.
- Budget & Forecasting: Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and expense control; provide detailed analysis on projections and variances.
Requirements:
- Team & Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing a finance or accounting team, with strong hands-on knowledge of JGAAP, IFRS, and SAP.
- Industry & Functional Knowledge: Solid understanding of retail-related accounting practices; experience with foreign or imported brand environments is a plus.
- Qualifications & Systems: US CPA or equivalent is a plus. Experience in ERP and financial system implementation is highly valued.
- Language & Software Skills: Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent). Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
