As Channel & Partner Manager Japan, you will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and growing strategic partners in the local market. You act as the key point of contact for partners, ensuring their needs are understood and translated into internal actions that drive mutual business success. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to build sustainable partnerships and accelerate vidaXL local growth.
You will:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new local partners across key channels, including dropshipping, wholesale, affiliate/marketing, and sales platforms.
- Build a strong local partner pipeline to support new business generation and stay up to date with e-commerce, retail, and online marketing trends in the local market and provide insights to the internal teams to implement changes accordingly.
- Prepare and attend the local event to expose our brands to attract more new potential partners.
- Serve as the main local contact for partners: maintain strong relationships, align expectations, and ensure smooth cooperation and conduct regular partner visits and business reviews to understand needs, resolve issues, and identify growth levers.
- Work with internal teams to achieve sales strategies or partner's expectations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to launch and scale new partners/sales opportunity efficiently
- Schedule regular meetings with stakeholders to keep projects or changes synced. Understand the internal process to ensure providing latest and correct info to partners
We ask:
- At least 5 years' experience in e-commerce or online retailer.
- English Language proficiency. Other languages can be considered a plus.
- Affinity with big data and data analysis. Good analytical skills and the ability to multitask and take on several projects at once.
- Commercially driven, eager to learn, enthusiastic and motivated. Good knowledge and interest in e-commerce and online retail.
- Adaptability, working energetically and enthusiastically, and attentiveness to customer.
- Planning, organizing and goal-setting. Taking initiative and acting innovatively.
