At Klook, we're on a mission to connect travelers with the best experiences worldwide. As a Sales Manager in the Destination Partnership team for Japan, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our business goals by strategizing, planning, and executing partnerships with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) in the region. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the partnership cycle, from initial contact to execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and fostering long-term relationships.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with DMOs/Local governments in Japan.
  • Partnerships typically include sharing:
  • Influencing DMOs planning with data and insights
  • Support DMOs in digitalizing the travel industry especially the public attractions (museums, parks, castles, and shrines …etc).
  • Marketing campaigns in overseas markets to promote the destinations
  • Build rapport and deep understanding of partners' objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling pitches tailored to each partner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals and ensure high quality execution.
  • Negotiate with partners to maximize Klook's interests while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to partners on partnership results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Network within the industry to build relationships and stay abreast of developments.
  • Develop leadership within the industry and represent Klook at events (for Senior Manager level).

*Qualifications:*

  • 4+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with at least 1 year in the travel industry. Knowledge of DMOs and experience of working with DMOs are plus.
  • Fluency in Japanese at a business level in conversation and writing is required. Fluency in English is a must for communication with Klook.
  • Experience in marketing and project management skills is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented.
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams and cultures.
  • Startup mentality with a collaborative and entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-30% of the time.

  • 業界のトレンドや動向にアンテナをはり、機会の把握とリスクの軽減を図る
  • 業界内でネットワークを構築し、関係を築き、最新動向を把握する
  • Klookを代表してイベントへの参加・登壇

*Qualifications*

  • 法人営業・アカウント管理・ビジネスデベロップメント分野で4年以上の経験があり、そのうち1年以上は旅行業界での実務経験のある方。DMO(観光局)に関する知識と協業経験がある方、歓迎します。
  • マーケティングおよびプロジェクトマネジメントのご経験をお持ちの方
  • ネイティブレベルの日本語(読み書き・必須)スキルをお持ちの方、英語でのコミュニケーションができる方、歓迎します。
  • 優れたコミュニケーション能力(文章作成・会話)を持ち、シニアマネジメントとの連携が取れる
  • 自立心があり、率先して行動し、目標達成を目指せる
  • 様々なバックグラウンドを持った同僚と円滑に連携できる
  • スタートアップ精神を持ち、スピーディーな環境に順応できる
  • 20-30%程度の出張勤務に意欲のある方
