About the Role
The ideal candidate brings strong consulting fundamentals, deep life sciences and/or healthcare industry expertise, and the ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous, fast-growing environments. You will work closely with global leadership and regional stakeholders to shape our APAC strategy while delivering high-impact work for clients.

Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Project Leadership

Lead end-to-end consulting engagements for life sciences and healthcare clients, including project planning, execution, and delivery

Manage project teams, ensuring high-quality outputs, timelines, and client satisfaction

Serve as a day-to-day client contact, building trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders

Apply structured problem-solving and analytical approaches to address complex business challenges
APAC & Japan Market Development

Support the development and expansion of the firm's consulting presence across APAC, with a strong focus on Japan

Contribute to go-to-market strategies, proposals, and business development activities in the region
-
Provide insights into local market dynamics, regulatory environments, and client needs—particularly within Japan
-
Collaborate with global teams to adapt offerings and methodologies for APAC and Japan-specific contexts
Thought Leadership & Capability Building

Develop expertise in priority life sciences and healthcare topics (e.g., pharma, medtech, biotech, market access, commercial strategy, R&D, digital health, health systems)

Contribute to internal knowledge development, case studies, and best practices

Support the mentoring and development of junior consultants as the APAC team grows
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with global partners, regional leaders, and cross-functional teams

Act as a cultural and commercial bridge between Japan/APAC clients and global consulting teams
Qualifications & Experience
-
6–9 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or internal consulting roles within life sciences and/or healthcare
-
Strong understanding of the life sciences and healthcare landscape (pharma, biotech, medtech, healthcare services, or related sectors)
-
Experience leading workstreams or projects and managing junior team members
-
Exposure to APAC markets; direct experience working with Japanese clients or in Japan is highly preferred
-
Proven ability to operate independently in evolving or start-up-like regional environments
Language & Cultural Requirements

Business-level proficiency in Japanese is strongly preferred (native or fluent ideal)

Professional fluency in English is required

Strong cross-cultural communication skills, particularly in working with Japanese and international stakeholders
