Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
We're seeking a Logistics Data Analyst to help power the backbone of our global Data Center operations. You'll work with a diverse, collaborative team to transform raw data into smarter decisions, faster operations and better outcomes for our business and the customers who rely on us every day.
Key job responsibilities
As a Logistics Data Analyst, you will turn complex logistics and operational data into actionable insights that drive measurable operational improvements. You will work closely with operations and process improvement teams to develop, maintain, and automate reporting that supports decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Your work will focus on developing dashboards and reports that track key logistics KPIs and organizational insights, while investigating performance variances through root cause analysis, identify trends, and recommend process changes that improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimize resources.
The ideal Logistics Specialist will dive deep into data to understand and proactively propose ideas to improve Logistics Metrics and Performance at the Data Center.
Alongside your analytical work, you will support day-to-day logistics, such as managing and maintaining accurate inventory and parts checkouts as needed for our internal customers. Your responsibilities will also include tasks such as arranging, scheduling and supporting shipments across sites and other locations, unpacking boxes and verifying contents. Lastly, you will be expected to maintain a clean environment, orderliness and safety in all workspaces.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks through root cause analysis, recommending process changes, and supporting the rollout of new workflows. Your blend of operational insight and analytical skills will directly improve efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen performance across the logistics function.
This position involves occasional trips across the cluster to support other sites and lifting materials up to 18kg (with support from teammates available).
A day in the life
We provide items to our customers, safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
You will work in a diverse, international and friendly environment.
- 9:00-18:00 work on business days.
- Work will be conducted onsite in an office/storage room area with the occasional need to work outside for shipment support.
- Mostly work in a quiet environment, but sometimes in a 75db noise level environment (comparable to industrial grade fan).
- Work with electronic parts.
- On-call duties required after normal working hours, rotating by team members on a weekly basis.
