PSA Japan is currently seeking a Security Supervisor(Japanese/English bilingual).

We are seeking a leader to oversee the maintenance of a safe and secure work environment at our newly opened Tokyo Distribution Center facility in Heiwajima.

Primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of all employees, securing stored items, and controlling access to the facility.

As the Supervisor of security staff, you will also be responsible for managing staff schedules, providing work guidance, performance evaluations, awarding and disciplining staff, and resolving complaints and issues both within and outside the department.

You will be assigned to the Security Department of PSA Japan (supervised by the Workplace & Security Manager) and will work in the Tokyo office.

Job Description

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and supervising security staff, managing security staff schedules, overtime requests and approvals, and necessary permits and licenses to ensure compliance at our facilities and exhibitions.

Maintain and verify the operation of surveillance equipment and alarms, including access control and video surveillance systems, and manage physical keys to our facilities.

Manage security systems and equipment contractors and maintain an appropriate security environment

Act as a liaison between the security team and other departments/stakeholders, report security issues to higher management, and coordinate with supervisors in other departments.

Implement and maintain a system to confirm the safety of all employees at PSA Japan in the event of earthquakes, fires, and other disasters.

Provide regular feedback to direct reports, conduct regular performance evaluations of staff in accordance with company regulations, and foster a team that values growth, improvement, efficiency, and respect.

Determine the allocation of responsibilities according to each staff member's capabilities to maximize team efficiency

When investigating issues that arise within our facilities, we will maintain confidentiality and treat others with consideration, regardless of their circumstances or position.

Manage customers' complaints and claims with the Customer Service desk and take appropriate actions where necessary.
Continually review and, as necessary, revise security standard operating procedures

Desired Talent

University graduate or aboveOr equivalent work experience
5+ years of managerial experience (including 3+ years of office security management experience), 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Japanese and English), including communicating company rules and regulations

A trusted and well-liked team player who excels at collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and methods in the security/loss and damage prevention field

Experience in using, updating, and maintaining security and surveillance cameras preferred.
Security and crime prevention qualifications are a plus
