責任と役割

• FP&AFinancial Planning & Analysis、財務計画および分析は、企業の経営戦略を支援するための重要な役割を担っています。
• FP&Aの業務内容は多岐にわたりますが、主なものには以下のようなものがあります。
• 予算策定: 企業の財務目標を設定し、それに基づいた年間予算や中期経営計画の作成を行います。これには、各部門からの要求をまとめ、上層部と調整しながら最終的な予算を策定するプロセスが含まれます。
• 財務予測: 市場の動向、業績データ、その他外部環境の変化を考慮に入れながら、財務予測を更新し、将来の財務状況を予測します。これは短期四半期ごとの予測および長期年間またはそれ以上の両方に対して行われます。
• パフォーマンスの分析: 実際の財務成績と予算または予測との比較を行い、差異の分析を通じてパフォーマンスの評価を行います。この分析は、費用の管理、効率性の向上、リスクの特定に役立ちます。
• レポーティング: 定期的に財務レポートを作成し、経営陣やCVCに対して現在の財務状況や予算達成度、リスク要因などを報告します。これには、損益計算書、貸借対照表、キャッシュフロー計算書の分析が含まれることが多いです。
• 意思決定のサポート: 経営陣の意思決定を支援するためのデータ駆動のインサイトを提供します。新規投資の評価、コスト削減策の提案、事業拡大の機会の特定などがこれに該当します。
• プロジェクトマネジメント: 特定のプロジェクトや取り組みの財務面を管理します。予算の配分、費用の追跡、プロジェクトのROI投資収益率の計算などを行います。
• FP&Aは、単に数字を追跡するだけでなく、戦略的な洞察を提供し、企業の成長と効率化を促進するための重要な役割を担っています。

• 問題解決能力: 財務データや予算情報に関する問題を発見し、解決する能力が必要です。データの分析や予測モデルの構築、効率的な業務プロセスの改善など、問題解決スキルが求められます。
• ビジネス理解: ビジネスの戦略や業績を理解し、財務データをビジネスの視点から分析する能力が必要です。ビジネスの目標や課題を理解し、財務戦略を立案するためには、ビジネスに関する包括的な知識が不可欠です。

応募資格

• 事業会社で財務経験3年以上 or 会計系コンサルファーム3年以上
• 英語ビジネスレベル (TOEIC 900以上, TOEFL IBT 90/120以上が目安)

About Recursive

As the world's population grows, we are facing a number of global challenges in the realms of environmental conservation, societal equity, and ensuring that nobody is left behind in the transition to a digital economy. Artificial intelligence is a key technology to not only address some symptoms of these issues but also help create completely new innovative approaches that can create a more sustainable economy and lifestyle.

Recursive is an AI consulting company based in Japan working on developing solutions to some of these challenging problems. We collaborate with large Japanese enterprises to create innovative solutions to sustainability challenges, merging our expertise in AI research and our client's domain knowledge. Our development projects focus around the main themes of improving efficiency, accelerating innovation, risk mitigation, and better work and education.

Recursive was founded by Tiago Ramalho and Katsutoshi Yamada. Tiago was a Senior Research Engineer at Google Deepmind and Lead Research scientist at Cogent labs and brings years of machine learning expertise to the company. Katsutoshi is a serial entrepreneur and AI expert with experience in developing and establishing innovative business models in Japan and abroad.

Founded in 2020, we are now looking to grow and expand our impact further, building on previous successes. One of many initiatives we are currently pursuing is a system to optimize the irrigation of peatlands in Indonesia, helping to prevent forest fires and maximize carbon absorption. FP&AFinancial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays an important role in supporting a company's business strategy.
• Budgeting: Establishes the company's financial goals and prepares annual budgets and mid-term business plans based on these goals. This includes the process of compiling requests from various departments and coordinating with senior management to develop the final budget.
• Financial Forecasting: updates financial forecasts and projects future financial performance, taking into account market trends, performance data, and other changes in the external environment. This is done for both the short term (quarterly forecasts) and the long term (annual or longer).
• Performance Analysis: This involves comparing actual financial results with budgeted or forecasted results and evaluating performance through variance analysis. This analysis helps control costs, improve efficiency, and identify risks.
• Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports, reporting to management and CVC on current financial status, budget achievement, risk factors, etc. This often includes analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Decision Support: Provides data-driven insights to support management's decision-making. This may include evaluating new investments, recommending cost reduction measures, and identifying opportunities for business expansion.
• Project Management: manages the financial aspects of a specific project or initiative. This includes allocating budgets, tracking expenses, and calculating project ROI (return on investment).
• FP&A does more than just track numbers; it provides strategic insights and plays a key role in facilitating the growth and efficiency of a company.

Expectations

• Financial Knowledge: The Candidate needs to have extensive knowledge of financial matters, including but not limited to understanding of financial reports, P&L statements, and calculation of financial indicators.
• Numerical Analysis Skills: The Candidate must be able to analyze financial data and budget information to assess the health of the business and its potential for growth.
• Budgeting skills: The Candidate must be able to develop and manage a budget based on business goals and strategies. This includes budget planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Forecasting: The Candidate needs to have experience in financial forecasting. Moreover, the Candidate needs to analyze market and industry trends to forecast future revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
• Communication skills: The Candidate needs to have the ability to explain financial data and budget information clearly and communicate effectively with other departments and senior management. Clear and precise communication is required to influence business decisions.
• Problem Solving: The Candidates must have the ability to identify and solve problems related to financial data and budget information is essential. Problem-solving skills are required to analyze data, build forecasting models, and improve efficient business processes.
• Business Understanding: The Candidates needs to have an understanding of business strategy and performance and the ability to analyze financial data from a business perspective. Comprehensive knowledge of the business is essential to understand business goals and challenges and to develop financial strategies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in finance at a business company or 3 years at an accounting consulting firm
• Business level of English (TOEIC +900, TOEFL IBT +90/120 is the standard)
