Responsibilities
Reports to: Japan HR Director
Team Structure: 5 Member Team
This is a senior HR role responsible for acting as a strategic HR partner to the business while leading key HR processes and initiatives in Japan. In the position you will:
Partner with senior leaders and people managers to drive high performance across the full employee lifecycle (hire, develop, reward, and retain)
Lead and support compensation and benefits processes, including annual salary review planning, market benchmarking, and manager guidance
Advise on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and alignment with global policies
Support workforce planning, budgeting, and HR analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Ensure effective use and data quality of HR systems and tools while collaborating closely with local and global HR teams
Qualifications
Solid experience in HR operations or HR business partnering within a corporate or matrix environment
Experience working closely with managers and senior stakeholders
Basic experience supporting or guiding others in a team setting
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Business-level English and fluent Japanese required; experience with HR systems is a plus]
Salary
Company will consider candidates up to 16M JPY for annual salary (client may consider higher salary based on candidate skills and experience).
