Team / division overview
The Product Division (PD) is responsible for the whole lifecycle of products and solutions that DWS offers, from the inception of a product strategy through implementation and ongoing management. Key pillars within the Product Division include Product Strategy, Lifecycle & Analytics, Product Specialists & Development and Product Management.

Role Details
As a
Team Lead Product Specialists, APAC
, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for existing and new product initiatives including the coordination of the product roadmap for fundraising jointly with the Client Coverage Division (CCD) sales teams in Japan
  • Lead the development of new concepts in partnership with CCD and the Investment Division (ID) to create client focussed investment solutions for both institutional and wholesale client segments
  • Lead content development incl. pitchbooks, market and peer analysis and provide ongoing training and transparency to CCD generalist sales teams
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and industry forums in order to help better position DWS strategies in line with evolving industry trends and market developments
  • Drive cross-asset class collaboration within the PD in order to develop appropriate solutions for the Japan market with a particular focus on institutional clients
  • Attend industry conferences to present DWS' strategies, maintain market knowledge and understand the competitive landscape
  • Being directly accountability for the end-to-end design of investment solutions in your respective area of responsibility

We are looking for

  • University degree, with a focus on Finance or Economics
  • With Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CISI) a plus
  • Over 5 years Asset Management experience in a comparable role with a minimum of 10 years industry experience
  • Experience working with and designing Solutions for insurance companies, corporate pension schemes, as well as strong knowledge of fund structures, regulatory and tax treatment would be preferred
  • Strong strategic mindset with proven ability to work collaboratively to define and implement business initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting regularly to senior forums internally and externally
  • Delivery focused, with strong resilience, drive and the ability to work hand in hand with partners from across the firm to move the business forward
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative thinker able to bring forward and promote new ideas and initiatives
  • Eager to learn and willingness to stay abreast of regulatory changes in Private Debt, Passive, ESG, and Impact Investing
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese written and verbal
