Role OverviewWe are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
This role involves full-cycle mechanical design—from concept and modeling to testing, verification, and improvements—while working onsite within the engineering team.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and draft mechanical components for semiconductor equipment and process units.
Lead mechanical development, improvements, and functionality enhancement initiatives.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, verification, and mechanical analysis of designs.
Prepare and manage BOMs, technical drawings, and documentation.
Support a range of tasks including 3D CAD modeling, simulations, experiments, and performance verification.
Requirements
Must-Have:
5–8 years of experience in Automotive / Semiconductor / Mechanical Engineering industries.
Strong skills in mechanical design, modeling, and drafting.
2+ years of practical experience in 2D CAD design.
Experience in engineering improvement activities beyond routine tasks.
Japanese language proficiency:
Native level or JLPT N2+.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with 3D CAD tools (Solid Edge, UG NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo).
Basic knowledge of heat transfer, materials, fluids, and mechanical mechanics.
Simulation experience (structural or strength analysis).
Experience conducting experiments and verifying mechanical devices.
Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
