The International Card Service (ICS) Business CFO Group at American Express Japan boosts ICS business expansion by furnishing financial guidance and insights. This presents a fantastic opportunity for an individual to collaborate with Japan and global finance teams, cultivate essential partnerships with business associates, and acquire a deeper grasp of the ICS business from a financial aspect.

• Monitor and assess Japan ICS business performance, including card acquisition, lending business profitability, and investment status on a monthly basis.
• Simplify regular financial reports, encompassing lending and investment aspects.
• Develop Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) for new products and functionalities.
• Provide spontaneous financial analysis for business determinations, such as campaign profitability and customer spending behaviors.
• Formulate ICS financial projections, encompassing next year's plan and long-term plan.
• Assist business teams in overseeing budget allocations.
• Construct presentation materials and present financial updates/analyses to the Lead Finance Officer, business executives, and HQ Finance executives.
• Collaborate closely with Japan ICS business units and global finance departments in the UK and US.

• 3 years of pertinent experience.
• Foundational finance knowledge (e.g., P&L, ROI & NPV).
• Logical reasoning abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint.
• Data analysis proficiencies with SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau are favored.
• Effective communication skills with business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
• A collaborative mindset capable of supporting multiple stakeholders.
• A resilient attitude to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• MBA and/or CPA certification (or in progress) are preferred.
