Do you want to help international Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) or Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) attract investment and assist Japanese companies in their international expansion?
If so, you may be the person we are looking for as we aim to recruit one International Investment Promotion Manager to work with our government clients.
You'll work alongside a diverse group of about 180 consultants with a deep specialism in international markets, market expansion strategy and cross-border business development. For over 35 years, we've been helping companies of all shapes and sizes establish and grow in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, generating upwards of $800 million in revenues for our clients.
We're focused on the technologies and ideas that are helping to solve the world's biggest environmental, social and economic challenges.

What you'll be doing
You'll be representing the investment arms of foreign governments with the goal of designing and implementing the right strategy to attract investment from Japan.
You will need to:
- Represent the government clients we work with
- Identify, contact, meet, and present to potential Japanese investors
- Drive investment discussions with relevant stakeholders
- Implement the FDI promotion process from initial lead generation to negotiation, securing investment, and market expansion support
- Provide interpretation and liaison between Investment promotion agencies and Japanese corporates
- Write regular meeting notes and reports in English for the Investment Promotion Agencies
- Plan and support missions for Investment Promotion Agencies in Japan

What you'll need
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English
- Minimum of three years' experience working in
foreign direct investment promotion - An understanding of the Japanese business environment and investment promotion process – to identify the right companies and people to engage
- Willingness to grow your expertise and network in investment promotion
- Experience in doing business with the Middle East preferred
