About the Role
A Tokyo-based venture and innovation group is inviting accomplished professionals to join as Strategic Advisors to support its growing initiatives in blockchain, decentralized infrastructure, and digital technology ventures.
This position is suited for individuals with extensive experience in finance, venture capital, or entrepreneurship who are passionate about helping to shape Japan's rapidly evolving digital and Web3 landscape. The Strategic Advisor will play an integral role in sourcing opportunities, advising founders, and strengthening cross-border collaboration between Japan and the broader Asian investment community.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify and assess early-stage companies in blockchain, fintech, and emerging technology sectors.
- Advise management teams and founders on business development, strategy, and growth.
- Use existing professional networks to create partnerships and generate quality deal flow.
- Provide strategic feedback to the investment and innovation teams.
- Represent the organization at key technology, finance, and startup events in Japan and internationally.
Ideal Candidate
- Entrepreneur, investor, or senior executive with a strong background in digital innovation or venture building.
- Previous involvement in venture capital, private equity, or advisory projects.
- Solid understanding of blockchain, decentralized finance (DeFi), and digital infrastructure trends.
- Established connections in Japan's business or technology community.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual proficiency (Japanese/English) is an advantage.
