Infor is seeking a Solution Consultant (Presales) with enthusiasm for the Discrete Manufacturing industry and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to join our Japan team. This role offers hands-on experience in presales consulting, supporting sales opportunities by delivering value-driven demonstrations of Infor CloudSuite solutions, while collaborating with sales, consulting, and partner teams to drive customer success.
As a Solution Consultant, you will act as a supporting advisor, building your Discrete Manufacturing industry and ERP expertise to articulate business value and contribute to strategic engagements. This position is ideal for motivated individuals with positive energy, drive, and a passion for learning and the Discrete Manufacturing industry sector. Infor provides a comprehensive training program to develop necessary skills over time, fostering growth within the team.
Essential Duties
• Solution Demonstrations & Presentations:
o Support the delivery of compelling, tailored demonstrations of Infor CloudSuite solutions, focusing on automotive-specific processes such as supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and quality management.
o Assist in presenting to diverse audiences, including end-users, management, and C-level executives, both remotely and in-person, showcasing standard industry capabilities and tailored POC scenarios as needed.
o Help differentiate Infor's solutions from competitors by highlighting unique value propositions and business outcomes.
• Customer Engagement & Strategy:
o Participate in discovery sessions to uncover customer business needs, strategic objectives, and key metrics driving solution evaluations.
o Assist in translating customer requirements into detailed technical offerings, proposals, and strategic technology roadmaps aligned with Infor solutions.
o Collaborate with account executives to support account strategies, scope solutions, and prepare for prospect interactions.
• Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with senior solution consultants, sales, consulting, product marketing, and value engineering teams to develop and execute compelling presentations and demonstrations.
o Contribute to the transition from sales to implementation by assisting in creating high-level project blueprints and delivery roadmaps that align with customer goals.
• Value Selling & Configuration:
o Support value assessments to identify and quantify customer-specific business benefits, aligning these insights with tailored presentations and demonstrations to showcase Infor CloudSuite's value.
o Configure demo instances for proof-of-concept (POC) scenarios to demonstrate the feasibility and business impact of Infor solutions.
o Stay updated on upcoming product functionality, enhance demonstration environments, and share configurations with the Solution Consulting team.
o Assist in providing technical, product, and non-functional responses for RFIs and RFPs, emphasizing value-driven solutions.
• Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing:
o Contribute to the Solution Consulting community by helping maintain RFP response repositories, presentation collateral, and demo content.
o Participate in marketing events, trade shows, and value engineering engagements to promote Infor's automotive solutions.
o Engage in continuous learning and improvement by sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.
• Travel & Flexibility:
o Travel as required within Japan and occasionally internationally for customer engagements, team collaboration, and professional development.
Basic qualifications
• Industry Exposure:
o Some exposure to the Discrete Manufacturing industry, across functions such as supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, or quality management (ideal but not required).
o Basic understanding of automotive-specific business processes and challenges.
• ERP & Technical Skills:
o 3-5 years of relevant experience, with some exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Infor CloudSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar enterprise applications).
o Basic technical understanding of cloud concepts, software platforms, and technical architecture.
o Willingness to gain hands-on experience configuring demo instances for enterprise-level software applications.
• Presales Experience:
o Entry-level experience in presales, solution consulting, or related roles, supporting sales cycles for enterprise software.
o Positive energy, drive, and passion for the automotive industry and continuous learning.
o Ability to contribute to team efforts and grow into a trusted advisor role.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
o Fluent in Japanese; proficiency in English is preferred for global collaboration.
o Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to connect with stakeholders at various levels (end-users to C-level).
Preferred Qualifications
o Experience with Infor CloudSuite (LN) is an advantage.
o Ability to manage tasks across customer engagements and internal priorities with guidance.
o Eagerness to learn new software solutions and understand interoperability between applications.
o Tertiary qualification in a business, technology, or related field is preferred.
