Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IED Field
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the SME in the IED field, providing expertise and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate different products based on technological and commercial aspects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Specify and integrate standard products, components, and systems to meet customer needs, coordinating interfaces and interactions.
- Verify and validate concepts and specifications against customer requirements and industry standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback and lessons learned to the Engineering Organization and R&D department.
- Prepare, review, and book customer orders/revisions to orders.
- Review customer orders for consistency and completeness, collaborating with stakeholders from both customer and Siemens sides.
- Initiate sales orders/purchase orders to vendors according to customer requirements.
- Ensure timely shipment/billing of equipment.
- Interface with factory and product/marketing groups to resolve configurations and technical changes.
- Evaluate and monitor profitability for sales orders in backlog.
- Determine discount rates applied at time of sale (as needed).
- Resolve issues related to transaction quality.
- Guide customer sales support processes, including factory tours, product demonstrations, new product trainings, trade shows, field sales support, and pricing.
Requirements:
- Hold outstanding technical/business knowledge unique to the company and academic world, with a deep understanding of customer industries.
- Drive and influence overall innovation in anticipation of customer needs, impacting business results.
- Takes responsibility for their strategic key area, including disruptive technologies and new business areas.
- Train and coach others in the organization in their field of expertise.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
