JAC's client, a Singapore-based investment firm, is looking for a Senior Investment Professional
Location
: Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City)
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and pursue new investment opportunities in Vietnam.
- Conduct market research, financial modeling, and due diligence.
- Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of investment deals.
- Maintain regular engagement with portfolio companies to track performance and progress.
- Participate in monthly or bi-monthly meetings with management teams to review updates.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Singapore headquarters and local stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insights on Vietnam's market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Source and evaluate investments in areas such as corporate debt, distressed assets, and special situations.
- Lead end-to-end M&A processes from sourcing and valuation to negotiation and closure.
- Perform in-depth credit analysis, financial assessment, and risk evaluation for debt investments.
- Collaborate closely with legal, tax, and operations teams in Singapore to ensure seamless deal execution.
- Monitor portfolio companies' performance and drive initiatives to maximize value creation.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local entities to explore new investment opportunities.
Job Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or private debt.
- Proven track record in deal origination, due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnam's financial markets and business environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Vietnamese is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Background in both local and international financial institutions or investment firms.
- Hands-on experience in private company investments and post-investment portfolio management.
- Familiar with cross-border transactions and regional investment ecosystems.
- Strong background in debt investment.
- Capable of both financial analysis and business development (identifying sell-side opportunities).
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end M&A execution.
- Willing to work individually.
- Exposure to a variety of sectors, such as retail, finance, IT, hospitality, etc.
- Open to candidates ranging from junior to senior levels.
