Shizen Engineering, one of Japan's leading EPC developers and a part of Shizen Energy Group, is urgently seeking a proven, bilingual Project Manager.
You will lead EPC projects centred on ultra-high voltage solar power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS) from inception through to completion.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure the achievement of quality, cost, and schedule targets.This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to oversee work on a significant scale, managing and supervising the entire construction process for large-scale solar power plants and battery storage systems across Japan.

ResponsibilitiesFormulating project plans (scope, schedule, cost, etc.)
Coordinating and liaising with internal departments, customers, and partner companies
Managing project progress, budget, and risks
Verifying technical feasibility and implementing solutions
Preparing and managing contractual, design, and construction documentation
Negotiating with and building relationships among vendors and subcontractors
Conducting performance evaluations, reporting, and handling escalations
Qualifications
Must-have:
Hands-on experience with EPC-related work in the renewable energy sector
Experience in stakeholder coordination and project-based work
Ability to quickly build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
Excellent operational management capabilities, including attention to detail and multitasking ability
Fundamental understanding of scheduling, design, and construction
Fundamental logical thinking skills and the will to take on an initiative
Business-level Japanese (N2 or above)
Experience using Office software suite
Valid Japanese standard driving license
Highly welcome:
Experience with managing teams
Over 5 years' project management experience
Experience working in solar power generation and battery storage businesses
Business-level English proficiency
PMP / PRINCE II certification
Pay range and compensation package
Salary:
starting at 7M JPY (negotiable depending on experience)

Renewable limited contract (typically 1-2 years)
