Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Support Engineer to join our Informatica support team in Kobe. This role will focus on maintaining and enhancing our Master Data Management (MDM) infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow across systems, and resolving critical support issues in collaboration with global and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level-2 support for Informatica MDM, IDQ, and P360 platforms.
- Monitor and resolve ServiceNow and JIRA tickets related to data quality, export/import issues, and system performance.
- Execute server restart procedures and troubleshoot system outages following established protocols.
- Collaborate with regional MD teams and global support to investigate and resolve data discrepancies, GTIN assignments, and reference data misalignments.
- Support seasonal product rollouts and ensure master data readiness.
- Document root cause analyses and contribute to continuous improvement of support workflows.
- Assist in onboarding team members on Informatica tools and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM, IDQ, and P360.
- Strong SQL proficiency:
- Ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Experience with relational databases and data validation logic.
- Deep understanding of master data processes:
- Experience managing customer and product master data across systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, cleansing, and enrichment workflows.
- Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues across multiple domains.
- Strong process orientation and ability to follow structured workflows.
- Analytical behavior:
- Skilled in identifying patterns, root causes, and proposing data-driven solutions.
- Experience in generating reports and dashboards to support decision-making is considered beneficial.
- Effective communication and teamwork across multicultural environments.
- Basic Japanese language proficiency preferred; English fluency required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Informatica certifications (e.g., MDM SaaS Foundation).
- Experience supporting global manufacturing or retail data systems.
- Familiarity with SAP FMS and integration flows between INFA and downstream systems.
