Summary: Manage academic department, implement course programmes, oversee 20-35 teaching staff, and 170-500 students. Cooperate with School Director, present quality and professionalism within EF Tokyo staff.

Responsibilities:
• Academic team management
• Recruitment of teaching staff
• Observation and assessment of teaching staff
• Induction of new academic staff
• Liaising with finance
• Record maintenance
• Weekly briefing for teachers
• Organization of cover

Timetabling:
• Ensure appropriate timetabling of students, teachers, courses, and classrooms

Administration:
• Reporting class size averages
• Attendance records maintenance

Student Services:
• Organize testing of students on intake days
• Class tests and EF progress tests
• Monitor attendance and follow up absences
• Manage syllabus and timetabling of internet access

Selection of Course Materials:
• Select suitable course materials
• Distribute materials to classes

Liaison with Sales Offices:
• Respond to sales office queries within 24 hours

Meetings:
• Attend in-house and EF meetings
• Effective communication of policies
