This role optimizes Japan local inventory levels through supply chain activities such as creating supply plans, monitoring inbound supply/on-hand inventory, and production status at local vendors in Japan. Achieve Days of Inventory objectives while meeting customer service On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) objectives within assigned business units. Execute supply chain strategies and processes with various degrees of controls, providing guidance to counterparts under the oversight of the Supply Chain planning manager.
Accountability
Optimize inventory levels of assigned product segments and achieve inventory goals by balancing production/supply with demand forecast.
- Manage multiple local vendors in Japan to create, monitor, and revise their production plans based on demand forecast, considering production capacity and company financial resources.
- Calculate required copacking quantity for JPN warehouse assembly work based on latest demand plan, collaborate with Warehouse copacking team to secure capacity and products, and monitor progress.
- Evaluate inventory reports to identify slow moving and obsolete inventories, collaborate with Commercial Team to develop action plans, and ensure timely execution.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing to ensure smooth supply chain operation and take corrective actions against possible inventory issues to achieve annual inventory target without sacrificing customer service level.
- Support item master registration/management in the system to capture accurate product information.
