Job Description
Forecasting and Planning Process
Determines customer demands for articles at the individual article level, based on scheduling agreements for the next 12 weeks plus a rolling forecast of months. Prepares and calculates FC data for assigned SOP customers and articles in collaboration with Key Account Managers (KAMs) at the article level, before updating the data in the Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) system. Continuously monitors changes to demand and coordinates with Supply Chain Planners (SCPs) as necessary to adapt production plans.
Order and Inventory Management
Ensures availability of all assigned articles throughout the entire supply chain. Receives and confirms customer call-offs and orders. Schedules transportation in an optimized manner. Coordinates with customers regarding alternatives in case of availability issues (partial deliveries, dates etc.). Monitors transportation: delivery to customers. Controls and steers inventory levels in warehouses. Continuously monitors inventory levels in customer warehouses.
Billing and Invoicing
Solicits or receives invoicing notifications from customers. Verifies the correctness of invoicing quantities. Issues and releases billing documents to accounting, notifies Finance to print VAT invoices for customers. Provides necessary information or invoicing documents to Finance.
Information and Communication
Maintains close communication with assigned customers. Transfers customer requirements to relevant functions. Conducts customer and consignment warehouse visits for logistical purposes. Continuously improves internal planning processes and teamwork with customers. Monitors and evaluates key performance indicators (KPIs). Consolidates customer service information workflows and enhances teamwork.
Other Tasks
Handles customer complaints related to logistics and non-quality issues. Serves as an instructor for customer logistic process and system settings. Performs tasks assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher, commercial education preferred in Logistics. 4-6 years of working experience in logistics, especially in warehousing and distribution. Experience with more than 3 SCM projects, knowledge of SAP preferred. Project leadership is a plus, along with conflict management skills. Intercultural sensitivity. Business English and Japanese fluency required.
