Marketplace Business is responsible for operating Rakuten Ichiba, the founding business of Rakuten.

Rakuten was established in 1997, and Rakuten Ichiba, which has continued to grow to this day, embodies Rakuten's mission of "empowering people and society through innovation." It has created a system that allows individuals skilled in business to easily open their own stores, transcending the limitations of traditional commercial areas, and has brought the joy of shopping to users across Japan.

Today, it has grown into one of the largest e-commerce sites in Japan, with over 50,000 stores (as of November 2024) and more than 100 million user accounts, serving a vast number of users.

Department Overview
As part of our strategy to strengthen the daily necessities, we operate a store called Rakuten Sokuhai Mart.

We are planning on selling some home appliances items as well.

• It is possible to work with major manufacturers to formulate strategies and negotiate.
• Dynamic scale purchasing and sales are possible.
• I will be in charge of how we sell the products we purchase and will work with various departments of Rakuten Group and Rakuten Ichiba to increase stakeholder satisfaction.
• The company is in the expansion phase of its business and can experience not only buyer operations, but also various operations related to store management.

Buying operations for procurement of products for Sokuhai Mart

Responsibility

• Planning and execution of MD strategy

Mandatory Qualifications
Excel and PowerPoint skills (experience in spreadsheet management, reporting, and proposal material creation)

Experience In At Least One Of The Following

• Over 3 years of sales experience at a manufacturer or trading company dealing with major electronics retailers, major e-commerce businesses, or major TV shopping channels
• Buyer experience at a major electronics retailer
• Buyer experience at a major e-commerce business
• Buyer experience at a major TV shopping channel
