Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Azure Platform
Our client is expanding their engineering team to support a high-impact technology initiative with a target release in 2025. They are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems running on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the reliability of systems hosted on Azure.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Development, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to implement best practices for system performance and reliability.
- Develop and refine monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Work closely with internal teams (PaaS, AD, MS, Global) to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related challenges.
- Design and implement automation for deployment, configuration, and scaling of Azure resources.
- Support production releases and ensure smooth delivery pipelines.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and apply best practices to improve SRE methodologies.
- Partner with security teams to maintain the integrity and security of the Azure infrastructure.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Deep understanding of Azure services and cloud computing principles.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
