The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for safeguarding government Secret level cryptographic enabled COMSEC equipment.
Responsibilities- Ensure required documentation associated with security actions at any/all facilities is completed as directed.
- Ensure U.S. Government cryptographic and COMSEC equipment and/or GSA safe(s) only when containing COMSEC equipment are always visible unless otherwise noted for testing or other scenarios approved by the government, and no unauthorized personnel handle, operate, or photograph equipment.
- Ensure proper guard duty coverage for environment breaks, required guard breaks, or for any other requirement to ensure constant oversight of COMSEC equipment.
- Report to PM/SM and U.S. Government personnel any attempt by unauthorized persons to handle or operate COMSEC equipment.
- Communicate with and take direction from government personnel as needed.
- Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned
- Active Secret clearance required.
- 3 years of relevant security experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior military, civilian, or security guard experience preferred.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Japanese language preferred, but not required.
